railo
A abyss of open water on the icecover of sea, lakes or rivers.
Sorry, but railo doesn't mean a ridge. Railo = a abyss of open water on the icecover of a sea (or a lake or a river etc.); normally nature makes it by itself but also for instance a icebreaker-ship can make a "railo" for other ships to go. [You can also call "railo" that kind of canyon build up in mountain area when a thick snow/ice-cover opens when it is dangerous for alpinists. But in Finland we do not have that big mountains or that thick snowcover on them that it were as general here than on the Alps e.g..]
