nattura, utukka, höykkälumi
synonym
light newly fallen snow, during very cold conditions (January).
More specifically, usually there isn't much of it - a centimetre or two at most (because nattura only ever falls in temperatures below -25°C and usually there is barely any clouds at all). Often falls during night-time, so that in the morning the scenery is covered with nattura or utukka (also called höhkä, höyhtä, hössö and with many other very similar words).
